Half the World

A compact, hook-driven track about the divide between people who want connection and those who push others away — the paradox that half the world is looking for love while the other half is running from it.

At under four minutes, it's one of the most radio-friendly songs on the album. The arrangement is polished and melodic, with strong vocal harmonies that recall the band's most accessible work.

It demonstrates Rush's continued ability to write concise pop-rock songs while maintaining lyrical substance — the kind of balance they'd been refining since Permanent Waves.
