Double Agent

One of the album's most adventurous tracks, featuring spoken-word passages alternating with heavy rock sections. The lyrics explore the divided self — the internal contradictions and competing impulses that make us all double agents in our own lives.

The structure is almost progressive in its ambition, with dramatic shifts between whispered spoken word and full-throttle rock. The mysterious, almost cinematic atmosphere harkens back to earlier Rush experiments while being delivered with 1990s muscle.

It's a favorite among fans who appreciate the album's more experimental moments, proving that Rush's turn toward heavier rock didn't mean abandoning their progressive instincts entirely.
