The Wreckers

Named for the historical practice of luring ships onto rocks to plunder their cargo, the song introduces figures who profit from others' disasters. The protagonist witnesses a darker side of human nature — exploitation disguised as assistance.

The arrangement is driving and urgent, with a maritime atmosphere created through the interplay of guitar and bass. The string arrangements add dramatic tension.

It's one of the album's most pointed commentaries on human nature — the reminder that for every act of heroism, there's someone waiting to profit from the wreckage.
